Urban myths // TE HUUR //
when we started with our kunsttour project, we didn't know what to expect from ourselves. we had so many ideas, in the end, we went for "TE HUUR".
we created our own urban myth of a young man with a weird secret: he fancies old ladies. he has a room for rent, but what no one knows: he installed tiny cameras everywhere to satisfy his voyeurism. // the installation was an interaction between two rooms; the old-fashioned "room for rent" which gave the visitor a cozy feeling. they were allowed to look around, sit down and relax. our intention was to create an atmosphere the visitor was familiar with. the other room, the "headquarter" was the young man's control center: televisions to follow the visitor and a lot of buttons to control the lights, the tv and the sound in the "room for rent". the visitors were kind of shocked that they have been watched and manipulated, but had fun to manipulate the next visitors, too.
